Sale of Wine
Our typical focus lies in OWC or OCC cases (although we can consider other formats), either duty paid or in bond. Depending on the wine and your sale strategy, we will undertake one of the two methods below.
Cash Offer – Fast, secure and a guaranteed price for your wines
We will either offer you a cash price for the stock. Upon receipt of wine, we will undertake a full condition check of the wines. Once successfully completed, payment will be settled to you in full by bank transfer.
Broking – Slower payment and not guaranteed. But you are likely to achieve a better price.
We will broker your stock across a number of mediums, aiming to achieve best market value for you with set reserves. Our starting rate for brokerage is 10% on the total value of wines sold (i.e. you will receive 90% of the net proceeds) but we offer a sliding scale fee, which reduces depending on volume and value. Please get in touch to discuss further.
If you are looking to gain an up to date market value for wines that you currently hold, we are more than happy to provide this service free of charge. Please either attach a list of your holdings in the ‘Upload Wine List’ section (Excel, Word, Notepad or PDF formats) or if you don’t have a formal list, please submit each wine in the ‘Add Wine List’ section.
We will provide you with complimentary access to our online portal whereby you can log-in to your account and track the value of your wines on a day to day basis. If you provide your purchase prices, you can also track the profit and loss on each position and percentage overall performance.
All valuations are provided independently through the Liv-ex price feeds.
Home Cellar Appraisal
If the majority of your wine collection is stored in a home cellar, mostly as loose bottles, we also offer a home cellar appraisal service. Our Head of Fine Wine, Lukasz Kolodziejczyk, will provide you a complete, free appraisal of your cellar as well as advice on what to do with your holdings.
